We see a future for the church that is utterly inclusive.
That’s why we mentor LGBTQia future pastors and faith leaders from all over America.
We know that discerning our call into ministry is a complicated and circuitous journey to navigate. We know that the search for a place where our gifts are accepted and our calls validated is filled with far too much discrimination, rejection, and disappointment. We know that around half of all pastors—queer or straight—do not make it past five years in an ordained position, made even more difficult when under scrutiny or tokenized for being LGBTQia.
Parity's supports for new and emerging LGBTQia leaders include:
Year round pastoral support and an ongoing circle of mentoring
Our acclaimed retreats and conferences,
Thriving online community
Connecting people to jobs
For over a decade, we have created an open space, both physically and spiritually where people are welcomed and supported. Where skills and stories can be shared, and community created. Year after year, we offer retreats and conferences for all of these experiences and more through workshops, small group discussions, worship, and fellowship.
Join us at our next conference and retreat:
October 2-5, 2019
at Franklinton Center at Bricks, North Carolina
Made possible by the generous support of the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation
